Who is responsible for your data

What About Gian, the studio of Gianluca Simonelli, Korte Bajonetstraat 40, 3014 ZS Rotterdam, the Netherlands (KvK 64090566, BTW NL002499565B34), is the data controller for this website. For anything related to your personal data, write to hey@whataboutgian.com.

What data we collect, and why

Data you send us. When you contact us by email or through the portfolio request form (your email address, selected industry and project type, and anything you write), we use it only to reply and to prepare the conversation you asked for. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding.

Technical data. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are not used to profile you. [Placeholder: name your hosting provider here.]

What we don't do. No accounts, no advertising trackers, no selling or renting of data, no profiling.

Third-party services

Some content on this site loads from third parties, which means your browser shares your IP address with them when a page loads: Google Fonts (typography, served by Google) and GIPHY (animated images on the homepage and blog, served from GIPHY's media servers). Each processes that data under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Correspondence and request-form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable business records afterwards, then deleted. Server logs are retained by the hosting provider for a short rolling period.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export the personal data we hold about you, and you can object to our processing. One email to hey@whataboutgian.com is enough. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with an updated date. No silent edits.
